This series of sculptures draw on Taíno religious figures, where a chest, river, mountain, or face could merge into one body. The piece fuses a shell, the back of a head, and cartographic lines into a single form, invoking geologies, identities, and ancestral presences tied to the transatlantic slave trade. Shifting depending on the viewer’s perspective, it resists fixed categories and reflects on the evolution of life on earth, opening to multiple possible futures.
